Simon Loftus (Director/Architect)

Loftus Architects was established in 2017 by Simon Loftus. Simon is a qualified architect graduating in 2008 from DeMontfort University in Leicester. During his time at University Simon gained the award for ‘Best Performing Student’ and also received a nomination for the prestigious RIBA President Medals Award in recognition of his design ability. With nearly 20 years’ experience in the industry, Simon has gained a variety of different professional experiences in many architectural sectors including residential, commercial and healthcare.
Although it is through his experience working with several established architectural practices in the local area that he has developed his specialisation and passion in all aspects of residential architecture including new build housing, extensions, refurbishments, historic barn conversions and rehabilitation of listed buildings.
Simon prides himself on being an ‘all round’ architect and can deliver projects from the initial client briefing through to completion on site. This is achieved through his mix of design skills and his practical constructional knowledge. During his training as
Simon is fully conversant with CAD technology which helps him deliver legible and expressive design drawings to help clients and local authorities in their understanding of schemes, as well as being capable of producing comprehensive, detailed and accurate drawings for the builder to ensure a smooth-running tender process and build period.
In 2009 Simon fulfilled an ambition to live and work abroad spending a year between New Zealand and Australia. During this time his architectural philosophy developed whilst working in the heart of the cosmopolitan city of Melbourne.
Gail Loftus (Interior Designer/Design Assistant)
Gail completed her degree in Interior Design and Digital Modelling in 2008 from the University Campus Suffolk in Ipswich.
After working in the design industry for nearly 10 years Gail has gained a practical and technical understanding of the design process and in turn the ability to create beautiful spaces, from the initial concept through to completion.
Gail has also gained a large amount of experience working in the architectural industry, developing skills such as architectural drafting, surveying, 3D modelling and CAD.
Her passion for design is evident in the outcome of her projects, with a natural flair for both classic and contemporary styles. With the correct use of colour, material texture and lighting, she is aware that there is always the opportunity to create a pleasing interior that is perfectly suited to individual needs and personalities.
Gail is naturally artistic and has a passion for her work. She thrives on being a part of giving clients spaces they are excited to be in.
