Wolfe hall (barrow)
The project replaced an existing single-storey building with a new pool room opposite the client’s outdoor swimming pool, within the grounds of a detached Grade II listed home in Barrow, Suffolk.
Inspired by traditional Suffolk outbuildings, the design combines natural timber cladding, a red brick plinth and a pitched pantile roof. A timber-framed veranda extends onto a paved terrace, providing a sheltered outdoor space that connects the pool room to the surrounding garden.
Inside, a polished concrete floor complements exposed green oak trusses, creating a simple, natural palette. An energy-efficient air source heat pump provides heating for both the pool room and the swimming pool.
